iSpring RCC7AK — 6-Stage Reverse Osmosis System

How It Works

The iSpring RCC7AK uses a 6-stage reverse osmosis process to strip your tap water down to its purest form. Water is first pushed through progressively finer mechanical filters, then forced at pressure through a semi-permeable RO membrane with pores just 0.0001 microns wide — small enough to block dissolved heavy metals, chemicals, and microorganisms that carbon filters alone cannot catch. A final alkaline remineralization stage adds back beneficial calcium and magnesium, raising the pH to a healthier 7.5–8.5 range.

What It Removes

• Heavy Metals: Lead, mercury, arsenic, cadmium, chromium-6, copper, barium — reduced by up to 99%

The 6 Filtration Stages

1. Stage 1 — 5-Micron Sediment Filter: Removes sand, rust, dirt, and large particulates that would clog downstream filters
2. Stage 2 — GAC Carbon Filter: Granular activated carbon absorbs chlorine, chloramines, VOCs, and bad taste/odor
3. Stage 3 — Carbon Block Filter: Dense carbon block provides a second chemical barrier before the membrane
4. Stage 4 — RO Membrane (0.0001 micron): The core stage — removes dissolved heavy metals, PFAS, fluoride, nitrates, arsenic, and bacteria
5. Stage 5 — Post Carbon Polish Filter: Final carbon pass removes any residual taste or odor before the water reaches your glass
6. Stage 6 — Alkaline Remineralization: Adds back calcium, magnesium, and potassium; raises pH to 7.5–8.5 for better taste and health benefits

Maintenance & Filter Replacement

Regular filter replacement is essential to maintain performance and water purity. Neglected filters can become saturated and lose their ability to remove contaminants.

• Stages 1, 2 & 3 (Pre-filters): Replace every 6–12 months depending on water quality
• Stage 4 (RO Membrane): Replace every 2–3 years under normal household use
• Stage 5 (Post Carbon): Replace every 12 months
• Stage 6 (Alkaline Filter): Replace every 12 months

Signs your filters need replacing: reduced water flow, a return of chlorine taste or odor, or a rising TDS reading (test with an inexpensive TDS meter).
